Audra Fordin, owner of Great Bear Auto Repair and Auto Body Shop, will be featured on PIX11 Remarkable Women. Based in Queens, NY, Audra is a fourth generation Master Auto Mechanic, business owner, mother, and mentor in the community. With over 100 years of automotive heritage, Audra continues to build on her family legacy.

Originally nominated in March, Audra is proud to talk about her non profit “Women Auto Know” and she states that

“Being auto aware saves money, prevents accidents, and builds confidence,”.

Drivers worry about their ability to be proactive. Fordin believes this fear is totally misguided. “You can do anything you want to do and be any you want to me,”

Fordin encourages drivers to prioritize prevention, be proactive and learn as much as you can to keep your car as safe as possible.

When asked about her biggest takeaway from the contest, Fordin states:

“My biggest take away from the contests is a validation that there is a tremendous need for drivers to be educated, especially women. “

Audra Fordin is on a mission to end auto intimidation. She is the bestselling author of “End Auto Anxiety” and the founding CEO of Women Auto Know. “I’m grateful for opportunities to educate and empower drivers,” Audra stated.

Honored to be named as the winner of the PIX 11 Remarkable Women contest in the NY Tri- State area, the national contest continues this month.  The national winner is being announced April 9th on the TV station news nation at 9 AM..
